I’m learning something about this commitment to write every day up to the Grand Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn on the 21st of December. Today is the day that I am learning to write when I really don’t even know what I want to write about.
We had a great celebration of the Noite de Natal last night. Of course it was the 23rd, which always me perturba a little bit. Some part of me would really love to have that celebration on the actual Eve of Christmas, but to accommodate everyone we took the more gentle route of consecrating the occasion on the night before.
I think I’d like to make a little outline of the conjunctions that we are going to experience in 2020 leading up to the Grand Conjunction. For me this list should start with the conjunctions of Venus with Jupiter and then Venus that we experienced since Thanksgiving. I feel intuitively that this cycle that we are entering right now will finally close with the conjunction of Venus with Mars in about February (I might have that date totally wrong, but it is in early 2021). So here is the list:
- Visible Conjunctions
- November 2019 – Venus Conjunction with Jupiter
- December 2019 – Venus Conjunction with Saturn
- March 20, 2020 – Jupiter Conjunction with Mars
- March 31, 2020 – Saturn Conjunction with Mars
- May 22, 2020 – Mercury Conjunction with Venus
- December 21, 2020 – Jupiter Conjunction with Saturn
- February 2021 – Venus Conjunction with Mars
- Invisible Conjunctions
- January 12, 2020 – Pluto Conjunction with Saturn
- April 5, 2020 – Pluto Conjunction with Jupiter
- January 27, 2020 – Venus Conjunction with Neptune
- March 9, 2020 – Venus Conjunction with Uranus
- April 3, 2020 – Mercury Conjunction with Neptune
- June 12, 2020 – Mars Conjunction with Neptune
There is such a beautiful symmetry hidden in this pattern of conjunctions. It strikes me that Venus, Mars will have conjunctions with Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. It seems like these inner planets are touching all of the outer planets to kind of transfer the energy of these conjunctions between them.
It’s also very interesting to me that the conjunctions of Jupiter with Venus and then Mars occur before the conjunctions of Saturn with Venus and Mars, but the conjunction of Saturn with Pluto will come before the conjunction of Jupiter with Pluto. Interesting isn’t it that in the latter set of conjunctions Jupiter and Saturn are the faster moving planets, so Saturn will catch Pluto before Jupiter catches Saturn, and both Venus and Mars will catch Jupiter before Jupiter catches Saturn, and so these conjunctions happen from the opposite side.
I don’t really know what to make of all this activity Angelique. It’s funny I don’t really feel called to try to pontificate about the significance of all these events. I do, however, feel strongly called to mark them on my calendar and to make sure I have a good vantage point to observe them. I believe these are the milestones of a very important year, and so I want to be sure to be present for all of them.
We are so looking forward to the trip to Brazil. My toe nail is really needing some love now. See you Saturday!
